Here are some answers to some of the frequently asked questions we get asked about our aqueous dispersions and emulsions. As a business that thrives on innovation, we’re constantly arriving at new solutions for a wide range of challenges presented to us by our customers. So if there isn’t an answer to your question here, please get in touch.
Across three continents, we combine global supply with local technical presence and technical support.
With manufacturing facilities in the UK, Kuala Lumpur and North America, we’re strategically placed to support you in the design, test, manufacture and distribution of aqueous dispersions and emulsions - where and whenever you need them.
Is it possible to adapt an existing dispersion or emulsion formulation to meet specific requirements?
Yes. Whilst we have an extensive portfolio of dispersions and emulsions, we know that our customers may need to adapt them to meet specific performance or regulatory requirements. Our technical experts can support you through the whole process from troubleshooting and formulation design, to product testing, scalability and production.
Changing consumer habits and a big push by manufacturers to be more sustainable has meant that our innovative biopolymers are now in high demand.
These water-based solutions are now bringing smart functionality to paper with thin coatings that not only extend the life of food, but help with the compostability of packaging too.
Apart from being more sustainable, they also deliver other performance benefits such as creating barriers to grease and heat.
With a long history of supplying dispersions to the glove dipping industry, we can help tailor products to meet specific customer and regulatory compliance requirements.
Whether it’s stretch, flexibility, chemical resistance or strength, we can advise you on the correct formulation to achieve your glove performance objectives.
Our dispersions can be found in gloves for a wide range of end use applications, including PPE, surgical, pharmaceutical and food manufacturing environments.
With both formulators and manufacturers increasingly needing higher performing adhesives, our AQUALINK® blocked polyisocyanate type crosslinkers are the perfect solution for applications such as bonding PVC foil to heat in kitchen cabinets, where heat and moisture can affect long term adhesion.
They also benefit from having low activation temperatures, typically 60 degrees, and are supplied as non-hazardous stable dispersions.
